Professor Pup's Trace Race app for iPhone and iPad

Welcome to Professor Pups Trace Race, the interactive app where young scholars compete with Professor Pup for lowercase letter formation mastery!

Each of the 26 lessons starts with a video teaching proper letter formation. Then the child must then copy the letter, and the state-of-the-art WritePad® letter recognition software gives the child immediate corrective feedback. When the letter is properly formed, Professor Pup challenges the child to a Trace Race!

In round one, the letter formation is scaffolded with a letter model, which the student traces five times in a row. In round two, the student practices writing the letter without the scaffolding model. Professor Pup repeats the letter sound (phoneme) after every successful letter to reinforce the phoneme to letter connection. The student may go back at anytime to practice. All levels are easily accessible with simple kid-friendly navigation buttons.

What sets Trace Race apart from other handwriting apps is the competition with Professor Pup, which has been shown in classrooms to motivate struggling students. Trace Race has been tested in over 100 preschool and kindergarten classrooms in California, as part of Pups Quest for Phonics software curriculum.
